Privacy policy

Plain-language information for the static ItemFriend MVP.

This is a starter policy, not legal advice. It must be reviewed against the exact analytics, hosting, forms, payments and cloud services used before launch.

1. Local equipment data

The current application stores item records in browser local storage. This data remains on the device unless the user exports, clears or otherwise shares it.

2. Hosting logs

The hosting provider may process technical logs such as IP address, browser information and request timestamps for security and service delivery.

3. Contact forms

The included contact form is a demonstration and does not submit information to ItemFriend. A live form must identify its processor and retention period.

4. Analytics and cookies

No analytics scripts are included in this package. Add an appropriate consent mechanism before introducing non-essential cookies or tracking.

5. User choices

Users can remove locally stored equipment data by deleting records or clearing site data in their browser. Exported copies remain under the user’s control.

6. Contact

Add the correct business identity, correspondence address and privacy contact before publishing this policy.
